Damien Drew
I am currently a Postdoctoral researcher at the Burnet Institute for Medical Research in Melbourne, Australia. My research interests revolve around Malaria vaccine development, with a focus on Apical Membrane Antigen 1 (AMA1). My current research focus is the development of transgenic parasite models for studying the acquisition growth-inhibitory AMA1 allele-specific antibodies through either natural exposure or immunisation with recombinant AMA1.
